When she's tucking him in, he asks if she brought her vault with all her magic in to town with her, as he might need the things inside to protect himself against Pan, but his adoptive mother, whilst answering positively, assures him that he's safe with her, and bids him goodnight. Regina returns to Granny's Diner with Robin and Roland, but Emma approaches her and requests that she talk to Marian, who still views her as the Evil Queen. She tells him that she does it because she loves him. While watching her hold the book, Rumple tells Regina she does look like her mother. Emma visits her again and assures her that she wasn't looking for her to assuage her guilt, she was looking for her to be her friend. She explains that magic is unpredictable, so Emma asks what to do. When he wakes up after another encounter with Aurora, he reveals that Snow and Emma are still alive, but they need help defeating an opponent, Cora. As part of their plan to get rid of Ingrid's ribbons, Emma angers Regina by claiming she brought Marian to the future on purpose because she wanted to ruin her happiness like Snow had and make her jealous of her and Hook's own budding romance. However, the dress turns black and rotten thanks to the presence of Fiona, who wasn't banished by Gold after all. However, when Regina retires to her vault yet again, Robin Hood pays her another visit, and explains to her how he lives by a very strict moral code that her tries hard to abide by every day of his life. ("Page 23"), On the day of her birthday, Regina visits a small village to find Snow White's location from the peasants. Before they go, Regina asks Robin if she knows him, for he seems familiar, but he points out that he'd remember meeting the famous Evil Queen, unless perhaps it was in that pesky year no one can remember. ("Skin Deep"), While Regina is remembering Daniel via the ring he gave her, Mr. Gold enters her office and makes a comment about remembrance of things past. ("Last Rites"), Regina's depression is only added to when she discovers that Hook has been resurrected as a reward by Zeus, Hades' benevolent brother, for his part in his brother's destruction, and she feels the impulse to rip his throat out because it isn't fair that he gets to live while Robin doesn't; this is all just a part of her day-to-day life suppressing the Evil Queen, but everything is made worse when Emma acknowledges the possibility of her return by telling Regina to take a time out on the latest crisis. It was a little somber; we shot scenes that were very sad. Later, Billy tells Regina that Kurt took his car, so she controls Graham into arresting Kurt so she can keep Owen for herself. The two dwarfs reveal they've all been gone a total of six weeks, and Emma soon makes herself known, appearing to be responsible for their return, as well as everyone's loss of memories. ("Street Rats"), Regina goes to her sister's farmhouse to draw out the Evil Queen, saying that the two of them need to have a little chat. She thinks Snow is stealing from her when the arrow leads them back to the Dark Palace, but it soon leads Regina to look at herself in the mirror, forcing her to realize that the person she hates the most... is herself.
